Love might not be in the air quite yet, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to be planning for your hearing practice’s Valentine’s day marketing! Valentine’s day is a great opportunity to get creative, have some fun with your patients and help make it a special occasion for all! Here are 7 ideas to help you get started:
Direct Mail –
With the best known Valentine’s day tradition being the exchange of cards, this is our top suggestion for getting your holiday promotions and well wishes out to your customers. Use this as an opportunity to thank your customers and let them know how much you appreciate them. After all, your customers are the “heart” of your business!
Keep in mind that in order to get your direct mail to your customers in time, you need to act quickly. Mail deadlines can vary and it’s important to plan ahead, especially if you have a promotion planned that customers will need to know about before the week your promotion runs. Special Holiday Promotion –
In the United States, Valentine’s Day is a $27.4 billion dollar industry that continues to grow each year.1 This is a great time for running a two-for-one deal, couples discount, or even a special Galentine’s Day event. Whatever promotion you decide to run, make sure that you are utilizing direct mail, email marketing and your social media to get the word about your promotion out to your customers!
Gift Cards –
According to the National Retail Federation, a quarter of all Americans will go Valentine’s Day shopping for their loved ones this year.2 That means your patients will be on the hunt for gifts for their special someone!

Email Marketing –
As mentioned above, email marketing is a great tool to get information about any promotions or sales out to your customers. You can customize your emails with a holiday-themed headline or themed subject and include a personalized message. Consider pairing direct mail marketing with email marketing for a boost in overall mail effectiveness (and vice versa).
Holiday Giveaway –
Show your patients some love by planning a holiday giveaway! You can create a contest and share the details on your social media and website. This is a fun way for customers to interact with your business online as well as a great way to increase your overall engagement rates.
Some examples of Valentine’s Day-specific giveaways could be a “Share What You Love To Hear” challenge where customers can share descriptions of their favorite sound, or a less hearing-industry specific theme asking users to share their stories of how they met their loved one or their best/worst Valentine’s Day ever with the best response receiving a prize of your choice.
Charity Giveaway –
Show some love for your community with a charity giveaway. This can mean offering your own services such as free hearing tests, or even pairing up with your local food bank and providing donations for those in need.
